Halloween may be just around the corner, but not too far in the future is the next big holiday in Thanksgiving. Of course, you could be like most Americans who get up late that Thursday morning and start preparing the Thanksgiving meal before settling down to watch the Macy’s Day Parade and NFL Football. Or you could be one of those who live in Atlanta that decided to get up at the crack of dawn and run 13.1 miles in the return of one of Atlanta’s most popular half marathons.

With a new course laid out, runners are getting excited about taking to the streets of Atlanta for this race as it takes them through areas of downtown such as the state capitol, Atlantic Station and Piedmont Park.
If you’re going to be in town this Thanksgiving and you consider yourself to be an avid runner, why not take on the 13.1 miles of the Atlanta Half Marathon? Registration is still open for those who would like to participate and if even if you don’t want to race but wish to be a part of the festivities, you can also sign up to be a volunteer.
So what will you be doing this Thanksgiving morning? Planning out your meal or prepping for a 13.1 mile through the streets of Atlanta?
